ConfChem Online Conference: Teaching and Learning Chemistry with Moodle

05/29/2013

Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is an open-source Course Management System (CMS) that can be used to create effective online learning sites. This conference will highlight how instructors at all levels have successfully used Moodle to teach chemistry and in turn made an impact on their students' learning. Papers are sought from experienced Moodle users that will highlight any of the following topics:

  • Innovative ways to use Moodle in the chemistry classroom.
  • Ways to integrate Moodle into your existing curriculum
  • Simple modifications or add-ons to Moodle which add exceptional value
    to teaching chemistry.

Conference participants will also have a chance to demo the resources discussed and set up their own free courses using ChemEd DL’s Moodle server. Anyone interested in submitting a paper should contact Linda Fanis, lnfanis@wisc.edu, or Janice Tomasik, tomas1jh@cmich.edu.
