The Treasurer continues to consider ways to make the financial aspects of the Division as transparent, efficient, and understandable as possible.
Our financial position continues to be strong. As of July 22, our unrestricted funds have a total value of about $3.29M, not including our Special Projects Fund (~$230,000 unexpended or uncommitted), the BCC account (~$250,000), or the newly created Restricted Reserve Fund (~$24,000). Our two restricted accounts, Passer (~$185,000) and Regional High School Teacher Awards (~$418,000), have both roughly maintained their balances over the past six months.
The Division finances are now structured in a way that makes the budgeting process more straightforward and transparent. We continue to consider how we might best allocate our financial resources to support the outstanding work of our community.
