Summer is the time for Program Planning!  It may seem early, but the Program Committee is busy planning the Spring 2027 ACS Meeting in New Orleans, LA. The Call for Abstracts opened for Spring 2027 on August 3, 2026, and will close on September 28, 2026.  The next thing you know, the Program Committee will be asking about Fall 2027 ACS in San Diego, CA symposium proposals before the new year begins. The easiest way to submit your ideas is to submit them using our website form.. The Spring 2027 meeting will be co-chaired by Faith Yarberry and Sonia Underwood, and the Fall 2027 meeting will be co-chaired by Faith Yarberry and Melissa Hill.   

Soon we will be in Chicago, IL for the Fall 2026 ACS meeting. Many thanks go to Aimee Miller, Mitzi Erdman, and Ryan Sweeder for organizing an amazing conference program. There is a session for everyone, ranging from CURE’s, Accessibility, Project SEED, Sustainability in Green Chemistry, and a K-12 Teacher Day.  We have Joint Programming with the History Division (HIST) and the Committee on Communicating Chemistry (COMM).  There are many great sessions tightly packed into the week.  There were approximately 240 in-person posters, 165 oral presentations, and 20 virtual presentations submitted. 

We always welcome new ideas for Joint Programming.  If you are interested in being a part of the Program Committee and learning more about MAPS and ACS Session Allotments, please reach out.  This committee works hard to organize relevant and diverse programming for all ACS and DivCHED members.
