Introduction
The mission of the Chemical Education Research (CER) Committee is to inform chemical educators, foster scholarship, and encourage improvement of the quality of chemistry education research. To achieve these goals, the committee is involved in a number of endeavors.
Information Since Last Report
Since our last report, the committee has:
- Continued moderation and management of the CER listserv
- Solicited and documented nominations for the ACS Chemistry Education Research Award
- Discussed possible updates to our ops. manual to foreground productive collaborations across scholarly communities
- Participated in DivCHED strategic planning (RLS)
Future Plans
- Consider revised operations manual drafted by committee chair succession
- Discuss the prospect of streamlining CERC duties to enable new collaborative initiatives
