The Board of Publications (BoP) acts on behalf of the Division to support the publishing missions of the Journal of Chemical Education and ChemEd X, whose combined audience represents the entire spectrum of chemistry education professionals.

The BoP has been busy this year! We welcomed new board members, Maureen Scharberg and Marcy Towns, and selected two new Board Associates, Jon-Marc Rodriguez and Maia Popova, who will join the BoP at our Fall 2025 meeting. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in our Board Associates program. We had a great slate of candidates! 

The big projects the BoP has been supporting this year include a collaboration with BlueSpark to oversee the revision of the Division and ChemEd X websites, the search for a new Editor in Chief for ChemEd X, and renegotiating the co-publishing agreement with ACS Publications for the Journal of Chemical Education.

For people looking to get more involved with DivCHED, the website provides several great suggestions. Don’t forget that the Journal of Chemical Education is always looking for reviewers and ChemEd X is always looking for contributors; other great ways to contribute to the Division!
