Division Awards & Scholarships
The Division of Chemical Education promotes several awards, scholarships, grants, and endowments as part of the Strategic Plans and ongoing goals of the Division.
The Division of Chemical Education is offering scholarships to DivCHED members to attend and participate in the BCCE! This exciting DivCHED member benefit supports our community by broadening participation in the Division’s signature conference.
Members of the Division of Chemical Education (DivCHED), including Boards, Committees and Strategic Plan Lead and Co-Champions and Strategy Team members, may request financial support for special projects or initiatives that advance the Strategic Plan and that fall outside of the scope of the annual budgetary process from the Strategic Projects Fund.
Designed to recognize, encourage, and stimulate outstanding teachers of high school chemistry in the ten Regions of the American Chemical Society.
DivCHED selects a division member each year for the annual DivCHED “Outstanding Service to the Division Award”. The award is presented at the fall National ACS meeting during the Sunday evening CHED Reception.
The Fund grants for teachers at two- and four-year colleges or universities that do not have any advanced degree programs in the chemical sciences.
DivCHED provides this service to members to grant financial support for travel to meetings. Up to 10 members will receive the award each year.
DivCHED funds a Travel Award each year in support of a division member who presents and fully participates in an international chemical education conference.
