In Spring 2022, the Early Career Chemistry Education Scholars (ECCES) committee changed its name from the Younger Chemistry Education Scholars committee. Our committee launched its new name at the recent Biennial Conference on Chemical Education. The committee hosted 40 graduate student presenters in the Graduate Student Research symposium and over 100 graduate students, postdocs, early career faculty and instructors at the Bird’s of a Feather social event. These events were designed to support early career Chem Ed scholars to share their research interests and strengthen their professional networks. The committee looks forward to hosting similar events in the future to continue to promote professional networking and professional development.
