Our committee’s purpose is to nominate DivCHED members for committee service and leadership opportunities within the Division. We seek to be inclusive of all members including chemical education practitioners and researchers across all levels of institutions as we try to match qualified individuals to service opportunities that they are interested in, have the appropriate skills to do and will benefit the Division.

The committee proposed adding an associate’s member to CPN and currently working on a Chair-Succession plan for CPN.
The committee is currently working on developing a Statement of Purpose for CPN.
- CPN strongly advises other division committees to continue developing chair succession planning within each committee to ensure smooth transition and continuity of committee work.
- CPN Strongly request the other committees communicate the needs of the committee when considering new committee members. CPN tries to populate the committees with diverse members to aid in the committee business.
- CPN would like for ExComm to consider working with our committee (and perhaps other committees) to find intentional pathways for membership engagement. Not only would we like to find ways to "lift members up" through the division, but we would also like to have more formalized ways to broaden membership participation so that we are being more intentional about DEIR in the organization.
- CPN continues to work with the Strategic Planning Group to play a role in the development of the new Strategic Plan for the Division of Chemical Education.
