Greetings from the Biennial Conference Committee (BCC). As this newsletter goes out, we are just finishing up the 2024 BCCE. Leading up to the conference, the committee has been busy at work making recommendations for improvements for future BCCEs, including identifying a host site for 2028. The 2024 BCCE Organizing Team (General Chair: Allison Soult) has worked to make the integration of a new abstract submission system, conference management system, and conference app seamless as they prepared for the 2024 BCCE at the University of Kentucky (information below). Meanwhile, the University of Wisconsin-Madison 2026 BCCE Organizing Team is working with the BCC to finalize plans for the 2026 BCCE.

While we will be able to provide a more detailed summary in the next newsletter, the 2024 BCCE is poised to be another engaging and successful conference. As of the writing of this newsletter, there are over 1400 registered attendees (plus exhibitors), with over 950 talks, 80 posters, and 80 workshops scheduled. We’re also looking forward to a performance by Al D. Hyde and the Key Tones.
