Although we are working on arranging the program for the Fall 2025 ACS National Meeting in Washington, DC., the early deadlines for the Spring 2026 ACS National Meeting are approaching. One of the first meaningful deadlines is the deadline for submitting symposia. If you have thoughts about symposia that you would like to see included for the Spring 2026 ACS National Meeting in Atlanta, complete this google form by Friday May 9th with potential ideas. Because there is a growing push for joint programming, symposia with co-sponsoring divisions would be welcome. The Program Committee will then evaluate the submissions to create a final suggested program. The ACS is seeking to slightly decrease the size of the spring meeting, but CHED still expects to be able to provide a robust program.
We also wanted to share a reminder that the Fall 2025 meeting will start with technical sessions on Monday, not Sunday as has typically been the case. As such, the CHED poster sessions will no longer be scheduled on Sunday night. The ACS plans to maintain the Monday start for technical sessions for future fall meetings, but the spring meetings will still hold to their traditional Sunday through Thursday format.
