News from the Program Committee, Spring 2025 Announcements The Spring 2026 Atlanta meeting is fast approaching, featuring a robust DivCHED program led by Craig Teague and Faith Yarberry with 1,390 abstract submissions. Highlights include Teacher Day, the DivCHED reception, Undergraduate Poster Session, Sci-Mix, GSSPC, and several joint sessions. Planning is already underway for Fall 2026 in Chicago, with abstracts open through March 30, 2026.

Program Committee News, Fall 2025 The Fall 2025 ACS Meeting is near! CHED received 333 submissions—thanks to co-chairs Aimee Miller and Cary Supalo. Sessions begin Monday, with most DivCHED programming on Mon, Wed, and Thurs. Abstracts for Spring 2026 are due Sept 29 at maps.acs.org. Fall 2026 symposium ideas will be requested soon!

Call for CHED Symposia for Spring 2026 Submit your symposium ideas for the Spring 2026 ACS National Meeting in Atlanta by Friday, May 9 via the linked form. Joint proposals with co-sponsoring divisions are encouraged. Also, note that the Fall 2025 meeting in D.C. will begin technical sessions on Monday, not Sunday—a change expected to continue for future fall meetings.

News from the Program Committee, Spring 2025 The Spring ACS Meeting is approaching! If you're attending, be sure to join the CHED social event on Sunday (5-7 PM) and thank co-chairs Pam Clevenger and Faith Yarberry. This year, CHED received 1,640 submissions, including 355 oral presentations, 89 posters, and 1,194 undergraduate posters. Sessions will be either fully in-person or fully online, with inflatable "pod" rooms and more hot topic sessions. Looking ahead, the Fall 2026 meeting will be shorter (3.5 days), with 16 half-day CHED sessions, and symposium suggestions are welcome. Submit abstracts by March 31st at maps.acs.org. Planning for Spring 2026 is also underway—stay tuned for a call for symposia!

Program Committee, Fall 2024 The Fall ACS meeting is rapidly approaching! If you are attending the meeting we hope that you enjoy the time with colleagues and get to learn something new. Let’s share a big thank you to Aimee Miller and Julie Smist who are meeting co-chairs. For the fall meeting we had 330 submissions to CHED including 134 oral presentations, 49 general posters, and 147 student posters. One of the big changes for the fall meeting will be the inclusion of a new style of session that will bring together both oral and poster presentations. This fall, one will focus on AI in Chemistry Education. Be sure to join us for that.
