The Fall ACS meeting is rapidly approaching! If you are attending the meeting we hope that you enjoy the time with colleagues and get to learn something new. Let’s share a big thank you to Aimee Miller and Julie Smist who are meeting co-chairs. For the fall meeting we had 330 submissions to CHED including 134 oral presentations, 49 general posters, and 147 student posters. One of the big changes for the fall meeting will be the inclusion of a new style of session that will bring together both oral and poster presentations. This fall, one will focus on AI in Chemistry Education. Be sure to join us for that.
Although the Fall 2024 meeting hasn’t yet occurred, the Program Committee is already working on the Spring 2025 meeting. We wanted to thank the many people who provided suggestions for potential symposia. As a result, we are very excited about the diversity of symposia that are part of the CHED program. You can head to maps.acs.org to check out the different symposia and submit an abstract while you are there! The deadline for submissions is September 30th. We hope to see you in San Diego!
Looking even farther ahead, we are starting to make plans for the Fall 2025 meeting. Be on the lookout for a call for symposia that will go out later this fall to all CHED members. That meeting is scheduled to last only 3.5 days (with the current plan to lose Sunday technical programming).
