News from the Program Committee, Spring 2025 Announcements

The Spring 2026 meeting is quickly approaching in Atlanta. Program co-chairs Craig Teague and Faith Yarberry have assembled an excellent DivCHED program with something for everyone. Thank you, Craig and Faith. This spring, DivCHED received 1,390 abstract submissions, including 947 student posters, 55 general posters, 79 student chapter posters, and 18 virtual oral presentations.

Technical programming will begin on Sunday with the traditional Teacher Day activities alongside additional sessions. A DivCHED reception will follow on Sunday evening from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at Georgia World Congress Center – Room C108.

Additional highlights of the Atlanta meeting include the Undergraduate Poster Session on Monday at noon, Sci-Mix on Monday at 8:00 p.m., and the GSSPC program running throughout the day on Tuesday. Joint programming with other divisions will feature sessions on the Fundamentals of Chemistry Outreach Education, Starting a Successful Research Program at a Predominantly PUI, and Teaching Chemistry Using History, Art, and Pop Culture. We hope to see you there.

Planning for Fall 2026 in Chicago is already underway. Be sure to explore the symposia and submit an abstract; submissions will remain open until March 30, 2026. Stay tuned for updates from Fall 2026 co-chairs Aimee Miller and Mitzy Erdmann.

We always welcome ideas for future joint programming and innovative sessions. Please feel free to reach out with suggestions.
