Biennial Conference Committee News, Fall 2025 The Biennial Conference Committee (BCC) has been updating its operations manual, selecting a new meeting planner, and designing the BCCE website. The review process for the 2028 BCCE is nearly complete, and Letters of Intent to host the 2030 BCCE are due December 2025. Save the date for BCCE 2026, July 26–30 in Madison, WI—an in-person and virtual event focused on innovation, collaboration, and the future of chemistry education. Programming proposals open August 1, 2025.
Announcements from the Board of Publications, Fall 2025 The Board of Publications (BoP) supports the publishing missions of the Journal of Chemical Education and ChemEd X, serving the full chemistry education community. This year, BoP welcomed new members and Board Associates, supported website revisions with BlueSpark, launched a search for a new ChemEd X Editor in Chief, and began renegotiating the JCE co-publishing agreement with ACS. Check out the new DivCHED website to explore resources, find ways to get involved, and consider contributing as a JCE reviewer or ChemEd X author.
Greetings from the COCTYC, Fall 2025 The Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year Colleges (COCTYC) recently shared its renewed vision, mission, and goals for 2YC3—focused on community building, professional development, and advocacy for first- and second-year chemistry educators. In May, 2YC3 held its 225th conference at Johnson County Community College, bringing together over 75 educators for engaging sessions and a keynote on student success. The committee also welcomes collaboration with ACS Office of Higher Education staff and continues to offer professional development through its Friday Webinar series and upcoming events at BCCE 2026.
