Greetings from the COCTYC, Fall 2025 The Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year Colleges (COCTYC) recently shared its renewed vision, mission, and goals for 2YC3—focused on community building, professional development, and advocacy for first- and second-year chemistry educators. In May, 2YC3 held its 225th conference at Johnson County Community College, bringing together over 75 educators for engaging sessions and a keynote on student success. The committee also welcomes collaboration with ACS Office of Higher Education staff and continues to offer professional development through its Friday Webinar series and upcoming events at BCCE 2026.
News from the Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year College, Spring 2025 The Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year Colleges (COCTYC) unveiled a new vision, mission, and goals for 2YC3, adopted structural reforms to expand leadership and member engagement, and announced the return to in-person conferences with the 225th 2YC3 in May 2025—encouraging volunteers to join their efforts in community-building, professional development, and advocacy.
