News from 2YC3, Fall 2026 The Two-Year College Chemistry Consortium (2YC3) continues to strengthen the chemistry education community through conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities for educators. Following a successful 226th conference in Maryland, 2YC3 looks ahead to its 2027 meeting in Georgia and invites educators to connect through upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

DivCHED Awards Funding to Support Member Participation at 2026 2YC3 Conference DivCHED has awarded $5,000 in Strategic Project Funds to support travel awards for members attending the 2026 2YC3 Conference, May 29–30 at Montgomery College. Up to 10 awards ($500 each) are available, and the application deadline has been extended to May 7.

Spring 2026 DivCHED Newsletter - COCTYC / 2YC3 COCTYC leads the Two-Year College Chemistry Consortium (2YC3), which supports educators teaching the first two years of college chemistry through community, professional development, and advocacy. The update includes leadership changes and upcoming events such as the Spring 2026 webinar series and the May 2026 2YC3 conference.

Greetings from the COCTYC, Fall 2025 The Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year Colleges (COCTYC) recently shared its renewed vision, mission, and goals for 2YC3—focused on community building, professional development, and advocacy for first- and second-year chemistry educators. In May, 2YC3 held its 225th conference at Johnson County Community College, bringing together over 75 educators for engaging sessions and a keynote on student success. The committee also welcomes collaboration with ACS Office of Higher Education staff and continues to offer professional development through its Friday Webinar series and upcoming events at BCCE 2026.

News from the Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year College, Spring 2025 The Committee on Chemistry in the Two-Year Colleges (COCTYC) unveiled a new vision, mission, and goals for 2YC3, adopted structural reforms to expand leadership and member engagement, and announced the return to in-person conferences with the 225th 2YC3 in May 2025—encouraging volunteers to join their efforts in community-building, professional development, and advocacy.
